Friday Night Wine Down by the Fire @ Red Poets Tasting Room:  Every Friday during the Summer from 5-7:30 PM.  Food will be offered by Gold Vine Grill, Wine by Red Poets and Live Music by various local artists.  Get together with your friends and neighbors, and maybe meet a few new friends and neighbors as you sip on the delicious wines, nibble on tasty small plates and listen to talented local musicians!                        Red Poets Tasting Room and Patio is located @ 5951 Mount Aukum Road.  For more information, please contact Charlie & Renee at (530) 405-3639  or call Mary at (530) 636-4042.

June 4th:  Live music will be featured at the Gold Vine Grill again!  Starting Sunday, June 4th, and every Sunday evening we will be enjoying the great acoustic sound of Tamra Godey.  Music starts @ 5:30 and will continue until 7:30.  What a great way to end your wine country week!  It’s also a corkage free night, so…what’s not to love!?

June 18th:  Father’s Day…don’t make dad stand over a hot BBQ on his day.  Bring him to Gold Vine Grill for a fabulous dinner and some great local wine!  Show him you care and bring him to the Grill for lunch or dinner.

June 21st:  “12 @ 6”  Wine Paired Dinner w/ Narrow Gate Vineyard.  This is a 4-Course Wine Paired meal.  Seating is limited to 12 people and the winemaker.  It starts at 6 PM on Wednesday, the 21st.  Cost is $55.00 per person, which includes all food, wine, tax & gratuity.  Reservations are required, so call NOW!

 

 

Friday, May 5th:  Join us on Cinco de Mayo when Chef Greg will be offering Taquitos and Snapper Acapulco as Specials for the occasion.  Bring your family & friends, and have a little “Fiesta”!

Sunday, May 14th:  Mother’s Day is always a great way to show that special person in your life that takes care of so much for you, how much you appreciate it!  We will be offering a lovely Brunch menu as well as our regular lunch menu from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.  We will also have Dinner specials that evening as well.  Reservations are recommended for each.

Wednesday, May 17th:  “12 @ 6” w/ Robert Jones from E-16 Wine Company

Don’t miss this event which is a 4-Course Wine Paired Dinner.  Price for the dinner is $55.00 per person, which includes all food, wine, tax & gratuity. Dinner will begin at 6 PM.  Seating is limited to 12 people plus the winemaker, so make your reservations today!

Friday, May 26th:  Friday Night Winedowns are back!  Red Poet Winery, whose tasting room is located just around the corner from us on Mount Aukum Road, is reviving the “Friday Night Winedowns”  beginning on Friday, May 26th.  There will be wines available by the glass or bottle, entertainment, and food by Gold Vine Grill!  This was a very successful event many years ago, with Cantiga, so come out to see your friends and neighbors, meet owers Charlie & Renee, and enjoy food by the Grill.  Festivities will begin at 5 PM and go until 7:30.

Easter Sunday

As has been our tradition for many years now, we will be offering a lovely Brunch menu along w/ our regular lunch menu.  This menu will include items such as Eggs Benedict (or Florentine), Chicken & Mushroom Crepes, Seafood Vol au Vent, Grilled Salmon Filet, w/ Fresh Fruit Chutney and more!  Brunch items will be served w/ Breakfast Potatoes and Fresh Fruit.  Mimosas will be available upon request.  We try to have something for everyone!  So if you want to have a bit of a quicker lunch, so that you can get on with other activities of the day, or you want to linger leisurely over a family brunch, we have just what you need!  Reservations are strongly recommended.  Brunch/Lunch will be served from 10:30 AM until 3 PM

Passport Weekends this year are later than usual, which will hopefully mean that the weather will be better than usual!  This year select wineries of the El Dorado Winery Association will be opening their doors to celebrate with food, music and of course, wine!  The dates this year will be April 22nd & 23rd, and then again on April 29th & 30th.  If you choose to participate, we wish you a great & fun time, and remind you to celebrate responsibly.

Tuesday, February 14th..

Valentine’s Day Winemaker Dinner w/ Busby Cellars  6:30 PM.  This is a 4-Course Dinner, with each course being paired with one of the lovely Busby Cellars Wines.

Dinner will be $65.00 per person.  Price is inclusive of all food, wine, tax and gratuity.  Reservations are required.  This is the only menu that will be served on February 14th.   Please call (530) 626-4042 and ask for Mary.

 

 

 

 

Wednesday, January 18th:

After all of the Holiday Hoopla, we are ready to get the very popular “12 @ 6” Dinner series going again.  This month, Chef Greg will be cooking up some great dishes to pair w/ Sentivo’s very lovely wines.  Paul & Daniella, owners of Sentivo, will be joining us for this dinner.  This is a 4-Course Wine Paired Dinner, which costs $50.00 per person. Cost includes all food, wine, tax & gratuity.  Seating is limited to 12 people, so reservations are required.  Please call soon to reserve your seat for this delightful evening.

 

 

 

Sunday, December 4th:

Join us for our “Gold Vine Grill 14th Annual Downtown Holiday Open House” on Sunday, Dec. 4th from 2:30 – 4:30 PM.  We will have complimentary hors d ‘oeuvres, wine from local winemakers, music and fun!  Drop by on your way to and from your busy Holiday Chores.  We’d love to see you!

December 31st:  New Year’s Eve Gala 5-Course Wine Paired Dinner.  We will be serving 2 seatings, as always.  The first seating is at 5:00 and cost per person is $75.00.  Second seating will be at 8:30, with the per person cost at $85.00 per person.  2nd seating includes a Sparkling Wine party.  All costs include all food, wine, tax and gratuity.  Call soon for reservations, as this will sell out!  Call Mary at (530) 626-4042.

Join us on Wednesday, November 2nd at 6 PM, when Chef Greg will pair his culinary skills with the winemaking expertise of Ruggero Mastroserio for a 4-Course Wine Paired Dinner.  Ruggero has been making wine in the Fair Play area for nearly 20 years, and currently owns and operates the Vineyards and Tasting Room “Mastroserio” on Fair Play Road.  The dinner starts at 6 PM, and is limited to 12 people.  The cost is just $50.00 per person, which includes all food,  wine, tax & gratuity.  This will be our last “12 @ 6” dinner of the year, so make your reservations now! For your information, Gold Vine Grill will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will open promptly for on Friday forlunch & dinner.

On Sunday, December 4th, we will be celebrating the Holidays with our 15th Annual Downtown Somerset Holiday Open House.  This will be held from 2-4:30 PM.  We will put out a spread of appetizers and desserts, and will host 3 wineries pouring complimentary wines.  There will be lots of good cheer, and some Holiday singing as well.  This is always a great time, so put this date on your calendar!
